In Trap Quest, magic power is a beneficial stat that determines the effectiveness of Spells, and has interactions with a few special mechanics, such as Tentacle Breeders and Zap Attacks. Magic power can become drained after use, and must recover before the player can benefit from it again. Magic power has no true maximum limit, but under most circumstances, it ranges from 0 to 20.

Description Meanings

Currently, the player's magic power is only reflected by raw numbers in the status bar. For the purposes of this page, magic power is described in three ways:

  • total magic power - the player's maximum magic capacity.
  • raw magic power - the player's unmodified magic capacity.
  • magic power - the player's usable magic power.
  • magic fatigue - how many spent points of magic fatigue the player has.

Total Magic Power

The player's total, or maximum magic power is calculated based on magic-power, the number of Wizardry clothing the player possesses, whether they have an active Magic Trophy, and whether they have Humiliation Fetish enabled.

Influences

The player's magic power affects the following mechanics.

  • When Cat Ears summon class outfit for the player, players with 6 or more magic power will gain an Exposing Magical Dress.
  • If the player has 15 or more total magical power, they will gain the ability to dominate an Aeromancer by using her wand against her.
  • When struck by a Tentacle Monster as a Maid, having 1 mo
  • When the player completes an uncurse quest and they focus to keep their item from going away, the magic drain Quest Consequence can trigger if the player has any magic power available to use.
  • Tentacle Breeders will only start spawning monsters if the player has at least one total magic power.
  • If the player's magic power is 6 or higher, all breeder-spawned monsters will be large, rather than lesser.
  • If the player's magic power is 12 or higher, all breeder-spawned monsters will be massive, rather than large
  • When touching the Sex Statue in the Woods, activates Magic Hunger.
  • Whether the player may activate zap attacks, and how much damage they deal
  • Determines the Dexterity bonus from wearing a Magical Dress
  • Determines the Dexterity bonus from wearing Magical Stockings
  • Makes the Heart Wand more effective when used to masturbate.
  • Reading the Pocket Necronomicon may teach new spells.
  • Allows the player to dominate Xavier instead of him immediately disappearing when defeated.
  • Allows the player to dominate demonesses instead of them immediately disappearing when defeated.
  • Allows you to trigger the magic portion of the Ultimate Lesson in the Slut School
  • Determines whether the player can successfully overpower an Aeromancer in the woods if she tries to teach the player how to float safely when they already know how.

Modifiers

The following game mechanics can affect magic power. Note that "increasing magic power" here means increasing your max magic.
