Migrated Page. Current Version: Trap Quest Release 15 Version 4.2

New page

Some traps, NPCs and some Game Mechanics can transform one or more pieces of Clothing into others. When this happens, the original item leaves play and the new item will appear directly onto the player's body, inheriting the BUC status of the original item, its Magic Modifier and all of its stat Influences. Glue, Liquid soak, and Clothing Displacement status are also inherited, and if the original item was stuffing one of the player's orifices, the new item will be doing that too, if it can. Note: Some items can ONLY appear via transformation.

Transformability
The higher an item's
transformability
score, the more likely random transformative effects are to target it. The transformability score is the inverse of the item's Outrage value; an item with an outrage level of 0 has a transformability of 21, while an item with an outrage level of 20 has a transformability of 1.

Transformation Resistance
Some items are especially weaker or stronger against transformative effects than others.

Resistance score
The higher an item's
transform-resistance
, the more random transformative effects is can endure before changing into something else. This value starts at 0 and can be increased through using non-Cursed Resistance Powder. Rare items, Piercings, and Ballet Shoes have a base resistance of 1 unless they have the Provocation enchantment.

Nontransformable
Some clothing are completely immune to most transformative effects, and if they transform in spite of that, it can only happen under very specific, usually class related situations. See the Transformation Protected and Class Transformation Protected articles for list of transformative immune clothing.

Transformation Chains
When an item is the "end" of a transformation chain, weaker transformative effects will ignore it in favor of items that aren't. Note: Just because an item is the "final" item in a chain does NOT mean it can't be transformed, it's just a lot less likely. See the Final Transformation article for a list of items at the end of transformation chains.

Trivia
Transformation is a mechanic introduced in Release 8 version 2.0.
