Arousal is the most fluctuating stat in the game, going up and down a lot as various events occur. The main things that make it go up are sexual [[Arousal#Stimulation|stimulation]] and later on, [[humiliation]]. Arousal will slowly cool down over time (as long as the player isn't being actively [[NPC|stimulated]] by [[:Category:Sex Toy|something.]] While in the past, the player's maximum and minimum arousal levels were influenced by the player's raw [[Sex Addiction]] score (that is to say, the player's sex addiction before temporary modifiers are applied), sex addiction currently only influences the player's minimum arousal level.

Arousal has a few different impacts on the player. Low levels of arousal might be considered beneficial, as the lowest two levels of arousal increase the player's dexterity. However, starting from the second level of arousal, arousal gains will begin to decrease the player's intelligence (It is decreased by 1 for every 3000 arousal gained past the first 2000). Arousal also influences the way the game calculates the player's sex addiction score, and makes the player more likely to be affected by mechanics that can force the player to masturbate.

The phrase in the status bar corresponds to the following values:

* Fine: 0 to 1999
* Aroused: 2000 to 4999
* Horny: 5000 to 7999

==Fine==
At this level, the player isn't turned on.

==Aroused==
When the player reaches 2000 arousal, the status bar will change to say that the player is "AROUSED". At this level, the player gains an additional +2 [[Dexterity]], gains access to the [[Commands#Simple Commands|masturbation]] command, and will no longer refuse to kneel in the presence of hostile npc's.

==Horny==
When the player reaches 5000 arousal, the status bar will change to say that the player is "HORNY". At this level, the player gains an additional +1 [[Dexterity]], loses -1 [[Intelligence]] (remember, the player will lose 1 intelligence for every 3k arousal gained past 2k). Besides stats, the player's arousal remove the ability to [[Commands#Complex Commands|present]] their mouth or breasts for sex, gain [[Dexterity]], and if [[Fetishes#Mythical Beasts|mythical beasts]] are enabled, can activate the player's [[:Category:Musky NPC|pheromones]]. Also, from this level on, the player will lose 1 [[Intelligence]] for every 3000 arousal they have.

==Very Horny==
When the player reaches 8000 arousal, the status bar will change to say that the player is "VERY HORNY". At this level, the player is much likelier to masturbate when entering a [[Summoning Portal]], and they will almost always refuse to use their mouth or breasts for sex.

==Extremely Horny==
When the player reaches 11000 arousal, the status bar will change to say that the player is "EXTREMELY HORNY". At this level, the player is much likelier to masturbate when entering a [[Summoning Portal]]. When the player reaches the maximum of 15000 arousal, they will automatically begin to masturbate.

=Erections=
If the player has a penis, they have a chance to get an erection whenever they gain arousal. This chance goes up the more aroused the player gets, and goes down depending on [[Anal Sex Addiction]], [[Erection Obedience Level]], and how recent the player's last orgasm once. The player will lose their erection whenever they lose arousal or have an orgasm (usually).

While the player has an erection, npc's are more likely to [[Groping|touch]] the player's penis, and it is twice as hard for any given piece of clothing to cover up the player's junk. Depending on penis length, having an erection can also make the player more or less likely to succeed at [[Combat#Dominant Sex|dominant sex]] (larger erections being more helpful, smaller erections being detrimental).

=Stimulation=
One of the most common ways for the player to get turned on is for npc's to touch their body. Different body parts are more sensitive than others, and depending on the player's [[Specific Addictions|addiction levels]], sensitivity levels can vary.

==Passive Stimulation==
Some types of stimulation will turn the player on, but cannot make the player cum. Often happens during dominant sex scenes that involve the player [[Combat Sex#Shameful Quality|messing up]] in some way.

=Orgasms=
When the player gets aroused enough, they receive enough stimulation, or they experience a special event, they can have an orgasm. During an orgasm, the player's arousal will reset, and the player will ejaculate (if they have a penis).

==Shameful Orgasms==
A shameful orgasm happens when the player climaxes for some reason beyond their direct control, like magic or [[Combat#Submissive Sex|submissive sex]]. Even if the player contributed heavily to the conditions that led to the orgasm, like bending over in front of a [[Minotaur]] or masturbating in the middle of sex, the orgasm will still count as shameful if the thing that pushed the player over the edge was not under the player's control. Shameful orgasms will usually force the player to kneel, increase [[Sex Addiction]], and as the name implies, [[Humiliation|humiliate]] the player.

==Non-shameful Orgasms==
There are two main ways for the player to orgasm in a non-shameful way.

The ''first'' way is [[Masturbation]], which has a risk of making the player's future orgasms [[:Category:Chastity Bond|much harder to obtain]] in exchange for being very easy to do. If the player is in the middle of submissive sex and they are about to cum, masturbation can sometimes save the player from the consequences of a shameful orgasm. On the flip side, masturbating at the wrong time can cause the player to have a shameful orgasm they otherwise wouldn't have.

The ''second'' way is to have [[Combat#Dominant Sex|dominant sex]]. The player can often orgasm during dominant sex scenes, but depending on [[Combat#Domination_Quality|certain factors]], there is still a risk of the player having a shameful orgasm instead of not cumming at all. Additionally, the player must defeat an npc before they can attempt dominant sex, and there is usually a [[Combat#Failed_Dominance|chance of failure]].

==Ejaculation==
If the player has a penis, they will ejaculate whenever they orgasm, producing cum that can stain the player's [[:Category:Clothing|clothing]] or make a [[Puddles|puddle]] on the floor. Players with very big penises ejaculate a lot, while players with very small penises will barely ejaculate at all.

==Ability To Orgasm==
Some items and game mechanics can prevent the player from having orgasms. This can be helpful if the player wants to avoid a shameful orgasm, but increases the chances that when an orgasm does occur, it won't be under the player's control.

=NPC Attacks=
For most npc's, there are four things they can do during combat with the player: generic attacks, special attacks, tripping, and grappling. Generic attacks increase the player's [[Body Soreness]], Tripping has a chance to knock the player over, grappling temporarily disables the player's ability to use some commands (including the [[Commands#Simple Commands|slap]] command), and special attacks vary depending on the npc.

==Attack Targets==
Generic attacks and sometimes special attacks will target a specific part of the player's body. Possible targets include the player's face, hips, arms, belly, thighs, and breasts. Attacks aimed at the player's breasts will do extra damage. Attacks aimed at the player's face will do extra damage, and if the player has a [[Liquids#Mouthfuls|mouthful]], will force the player to spit it out. Similarly, attacks aimed at the player's belly will cause [[Liquids#Expulsion|expulsion]] if [[Fetishes#Inflation|inflation]] is enabled.

==Generic Attacks==
Most npc's have an attack where they attempt to hit a part of the player's body. The npc will roll a number based on its [[Level]] against the player's [[Dexterity]], and if the number is higher than the player's dexterity, the player will be hit by the attack. A typical attack causes 1 body soreness and 2 body soreness if it hits a particularly vulnerable area (like the face.)

===Accuracy Rolls===
Accuracy rolls are mainly used in generic attacks, but also come into play in several special attacks. Rolls are generated according to the following:

If the npc is [[Blindness|blinded]], then the <code style="background-color:#bbb;">blind_accuracy</code> roll is used as the roll. If the npc is not blinded, then we only use our <code>sight_accuracy</code> as our roll if it's lower than the <code style="background-color:#659c6c">level_threshold</code>. If <code>sight_accuracy</code> does end up being higher, than the "roll" will be a value that always hits. The <code style="background-color:#94e39e">combat_speed_modifier</code> adds a progressively higher chance to miss depending on [[Combat Speed]].

==Tripping==
If an npc [[:Category:Trippers|has the ability to trip]] the player, the chance that they try will go up every turn they go without making an attempt (happens roughly every third attack.) Depending on the player's [[Intelligence]], they may be able to notice when an npc is about to try and trip them. NPC's don't become more likely to trip the player if they have been [[Slapping|slapped]] more than 3 times in a row. See [[Tripping]].

==Grappling==
If the player has slapped an npc more than three times in a row, [[:Category:Grapplers|certain npcs]] will become more likely to try grabbing the player by the wrist. The player has a [[Dexterity]]-based chance to avoid being grappled, and it becomes harder or easier to avoid depending on how many times the npc has been slapped in a row (i.e. if you stop punching them to kick them every once in awhile, you won't get grabbed as much.)

Once grappled, the grapple will either expire after a few turns or the player can [[Commands#Simple Commands|resist]] to break free from the grapple early. The npc will make a strength roll to hold onto the player when they resist, and if their roll exceeds the player's [[Strength]], the player will fail to break free.

NPC's will try to hit the player with these attacks using a variety of accuracy, strength, and intelligence rolls.

===Intelligence Rolls===
Intelligence rolls are mainly used with npc special attacks, especially in the [[Mansion]] region. Rolls are generated according to the following:

=Defeating NPC's=
When the player defeats an npc, and there are no other dangerous npc's nearby, they will be presented with a few options for dealing with the monster. These responses are "taxing", "pitying", "banishing", and "dominating". Some npc's automatically handle the circumstances of their defeat.

** The Djinn's banishment ends with him escaping to somewhere else on the current floor, not with him being removed from the game.

==Banishing==
Players can permanently remove defeated npc's from the game. For most npc's, this is permanent.

Players can decide to let defeated npc's go without doing anything extra, which usually resets the npc's favour score back to "friendly" territory, then increases it by 1.

Players can demand items from npc's they've defeated, which has a side-effect of increasing the npc's level by and decreasing their favour score by 1.

==Dominant Sex==
If the player has access to their genitals, they can try dominating NPC's they have defeated. All npc's have a chance to refuse and then punish the player for even trying, but if the player can somehow overcome ([[Skils#Submissiveness_Suppression|or perhaps suppress]]) their bottom energy, they will get a short scene that usually ends in a [[Humiliation|dignity boost]], an [[orgasm]], and a [[Delicateness]] decrease. =Submissive Sex=
When the player is on their knees, hostile npc's can intitiate sexual encounters with the player. These encounters last multiple turns, and as long as the npc is hostile, cannot end without the npc being satisfied, the player using their safe word, or [[Minotaur|somehow]] [[Demon Lord|getting removed]] [[Boogeymonster|from the picture]]. The player can initiate multi-turn encounters with npc's on their own if they use the [[Commands#Complex|spread]] command, which will give them the option of ending things early, but there's always a chance that the player's partner becomes hostile in the middle.
